For about the last three weeks, Ecuador has been experiencing much colder than normal temperatures, in addition to having many cloudy days and lots of rain. All these things combined have resulted in a further decrease in production cycles and therefore the number of stems that are harvested daily is also considerably down from normal levels.
According to meteorological projections, this scenario of cold weather and rainy days, won’t be changing for at least 2 or 3 weeks. Therefore, this will continue to affect the production in the next several weeks. Of course, as we get closer to the Fourth of July, demand will start to decrease, but in the next few weeks please be aware of this situation going on in Ecuador. We urge everybody to place your orders early, and be proactive as much as possible, rather than waiting until the last minute to cover weddings that people have booked months ago! We owe it to the brides to be as proactive as possible during these extraordinary times.
